Why firms go international?

What are some CURRENT trends from the MACRO
environments (i.e., PESTEL: political, economic, social, technological,
environmental, and legal factors/trends) affecting the choice of international
strategies, particularly international corporate-level strategies? What is your
prediction?  Be specific!

Can you identify a specific business (e.g.,
Starbucks, Costco, Google, etc.) going international and use which
international strategy? Is that strategy successful?  Why so?

What is the primary entry mode that your company
used to enter a new market? Pro and cons?  You can also use a current
business (e.g., Costco, Meta, Apple, etc.) to talk about your views.
