Chicago Longitudinal Study

Go to:
This is a website of the Chicago Longitudinal Study, research which examines a same-age cohort of 1,539 students in Chicago Public Schools who grew up in high poverty neighborhoods. The study began in 1986 and is ongoing.
You are to identify the key variables in the study (independent and dependent), the research design (found in Chapter 7), and goals of the project.
Take a look at the reports that have been written and the newsletter about the project. Discuss topics such as costs, richness of data and design issues this type of research might pose. Write down your thoughts and answers on these issues, specific to this study.
