I am more interested in how well you understand the article and how clearly you communicate your response.

Notice how Sallie McFague rethinks the concept of God through the attribute of “lover.” This way of thinking is certainly an attempt to free the concept of God from past constraints so that the idea of God can be considered in a way that would be more meaningful and relevant now. Do you agree? What are some of the implications that this way of thinking suggests for other aspects of God and the God-world relationship?
Article Review Rubric
Here is what I will be looking for:
1) Introduction:
a. State the subject of the article (What is it about?)
b. State the thesis (What argument/position is the author defending?)
2. Summary:
a. Summarize the author’s argument.
b. Use direct quotes with appropriate citations from the article text itself.
c. This section should be about a page or two long.
4. Assessment:
a. Assess the argument (What did the author do well? What did the author not do well? Why?)
b. In this section, I am not interested so much in your personal opinion. I am more interested in how well you understand the article and how clearly you communicate your response. In other words, “I agree” or “I disagree” will not be sufficient.
c. This section should be about a page or two long.
These are the instructions that the professor requires. Thank you.
