Two 1841 routers with WIC-2T interface cards installed in the right slot (one called R1-ISP, which has the DCE WAN serial connection to R2-Central and the Fa0/0 LAN connection to Eagle_Server) and one that called R2-Central (which has the DCE WAN serial connection to R1-ISP and a FA0/0 •LAN connection to S1-Central)
A 2960TT switch (S1-Central)
Two computers named 1A and 1B
A server named Eagle_Server
Note that all devices should be named as shown in the topology.
You have been assigned the IP address 222.10.150.0 /24.
The needs of the subnets are as follows:
1st subnet, up to 115 hosts (Fa0/0 on R2-Central, connected to Fa0/24 on S1-Central)
2nd subnet, up to 48 hosts (not yet implemented)
3rd subnet, up to 23 hosts (Fa0/0 on R1-ISP)
4th subnet, up to 12 hosts (not yet implemented)
5th subnet, up to 2 hosts (S0/0/0 on R1-ISP and S0/0/0 on R2-Central)
Apply VLSM to the needs of the above subnets and create a table listing the Network Address, First Usable Address, Last Usable Address, Broadcast Address and Subnet Mask.
Assigning the IP addresses:
The server will be assigned the previous address from the last usable IP address from the ISP LAN subnet.
The last usable IP address from the ISP LAN subnet will be assigned to the Fa0/0 interface of R1-ISP.
The last usable IP address from the WAN subnet (5th subnet) will be assigned to the S0/0/0 interface of R1-ISP.
The first usable IP address from the WAN subnet (5th subnet) will be assigned to the S0/0/0 interface of R2-Central.
The last usable IP address from the LAN subnet (1st subnet) will be assigned to the Fa0/0 interface of R2-Central.
Hosts 1A and 1B will be assigned the first and second usable IP addresses from the LAN subnet (1st subnet).
The switch interface will be assigned the previous address from the last usable IP address from the LAN (1st subnet)
After creating the topology as shown in the figure and using the appropriate cables for the connections, perform the following configurations on the devices:
A) On each Router you should define: • hostname as shown in the topology • a message (MOTD banner) • in privileged exec mode set password to “nlab”
In the console set “3015” as password
In the virtual line,enter “3015” as a password
set the IP addresses as they appear in the table shown in the attached image.
B) In the switch you should set : • hostname as shown in the topology • a message (MOTD banner) • •in privileged exec mode set password to “nlab”
In the console give “3015” as password
in the virtual line,enter “3015” as password
set the IP addresses as they appear in the table above(attached image)
C) On the two PCs and on the server you should assign the IP addresses, as they will appear in the table above.(attached image).
